President:Professor Dr.Geng Rongsheng

Dr.Geng Rongsheng was born in May 1944 in Jiangsu Province,China.He was a graduate from University of Science and Technology of China in 1966,and received his degree of Doctor of Philosophy from University of London in 1983 and his professorship from The Transportation Technology College of Tianjin in 1992.He is currently working in Beijing Aeronautical Technology Research Center as a senior research fellow.He has been working in NDT field for more than 30 years and his main interest is in acoustic emission,untrasonic testing,condition monitoring and fault diagnosis.Geng’s monitoring of full scale aircraft fatigue test,which finally made the assessment of service life of an aircraft group possible and created tremendous amount of economical benefit for the nation.

Dr.Geng has published more than 110 scientific papers and has several inventions.He is the President of Chinese Society for Non-destructive Testing,and voting delegate of International Committee for Non-destructive Testing(ICNDT).He was the President of 17^th world conference of Non-destructive Testing that hold in Shanghai,in October,2008
